.....I read your promo on "blasting my resume to 167" manufacturers on Thurs. afternoon and submitted it same day. The very next day I received a phone call at 7:30 a.m. from a machine shop located 6 miles from my home. They had been looking for a Production Manager. One of the owners, who saw my resume on his email said, to himself, "..maybe this is a god-send and should contact..." this gentleman, which he did. I was interviewed that morning at 9:00a.m. for two+ hours by both owners.
I have never experienced this 'happening' in my 25+ years career, but this did happen just as I am relating it.
It became clear during the interview that I was not their "ace" candidate. I was well over-qualified and justified more income than this position could justify.
