Job Responsibilities
- Perform mold, set up and color changes in accordance with established procedures including but not limited to:
- Ensure molds have properly routed water
- Ensure all process monitors are on and tolerances are set correctly
- Prepares first and last piece shots for quality control
- Follow guidelines for core changes
- Handles auxiliary equipment and materials as needed
- Follow 5s program daily to ensure proper machine, tool and facility cleanliness and organization
- Troubleshoot process issues using lean methodologies and document process changes
- Communicate production opportunities to Plant Manager and strive to improve productivity, quality, and safety
- Collaborate with Quality personnel and perform testing of product as needed
- Generate work requests for machine and tooling repair and assist with machine and facility maintenance as needed to ensure optimal output
- Adhere to all company quality policies and procedures
- Other duties assigned by Supervisor

Job Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of plastic materials and how they process
- Basic understanding of hydraulics and electrical current
- Basic Mechanical skills
- Must have successfully completed Lakone Company's forklift training class
- Ability to work towards goals
- Knowledge of plastic processing
- Knowledge of robot programs
- Knowledge of quality control processes and SPC
- Knowledge of material moving/hoisting equipment
- Basic industrial maintenance knowledge
- Understand key performance indicators
- Knowledge of 5S
- Ability to stand for 10 hours
- Knowledge of Automation and ERP is a plus
Experience
- Manufacturing: 5 years (Preferred)
- Plastics injection molding: 5 years (Preferred)
- Troubleshooting: 3 years (Preferred)
