Capabilities include Swiss Screw machine parts, laser cutting and welding, tube fabrication, CNC milling / turning, wire EDM and more.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Shift:

7am-3pm

Reports to: Engineering Manager and Lead Set Up Technician

IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

Equipment Maintenance, Technical Understanding, Technical Zeal, Deals with Uncertainty, Basic Safety, Power Tools, Attention to Detail, Flexibility, Job Knowledge, Productivity, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and electrical ability a must, CNC programming a plus ( G Code).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the facility and safety and wellness of all team members.
  • Responsible to ensure process adherence to all applicable quality procedures to assure quality product with priority for patient safety.
  • Communicate regularly with plant personnel to maintain high level of morale.
  • Comply with plant safety and rule regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery and equipment in a timely manner, while monitoring and adjusting machinery to maintain quality standards through regular inspections and proactive problem-solving.
  • Monitor production schedules and making necessary adjustments to ensure timely job completion, while concurrently monitoring and replenishing inventory levels of parts and supplies to support seamless operations.
  • Provide technical support and training to other technicians and operators.
  • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment, while also collaborating closely with Engineering for upgrades, retrofits, installations, and assisting with the commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on presses, motors, pneumatic tools, mills, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • All other duties as assigned or exhibit teamwork throughout the plant to the sole discretion of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-4 years of experience
  • Preferred experience in a production setting.
