Job Summary

Primarily responsible for ensuring that assigned section has the material and equipment necessary for them to perform their tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Job Functions*

Prepares Items for Processing by reviewing and verifying invoices / paperwork to validate what material and equipment is needed; preparing labels as necessary; and ensuring assigned equipment is in good working condition.Material Handling by operating assigned equipment in accordance with established procedures; moving items to/from storage to/from areas where it will be processed; using knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems and reports other problems to supervisor; conserving resources by using equipment and supplies to complete tasks without waste; and cleaning area after operations and places discarded material designated areas.Ensures Quality by conducting multiple spot checks during the workday to ensure products meet established standards; and maintaining a log of items identified as out of tolerance with established standards.Ensures Safety by maintaining a clean and organized work environment, follows safety policies and procedures, and reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma.Ability to read and follow documented instructions in English or Spanish.Strong attention to detail.

Operational Equipment

Forklift or other Powered Industrial Equipment.Will receive training on specific machine to be operated.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Physical Demands

Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
