The Operations and Supply Chain organization has an opportunity for a talented professional to join us in a critical supplier / manufacturing engineering role within our energetics / warheads team. You will be involved in all aspects of planning and executing the production of our wide range of weapon systems, from tactical missiles to strategic defense products. You will provide technical knowledge & process capability expertise to improve supplier performance. You will be involved in all phases of product life cycles, beginning with proposal development, new product development, advanced manufacturing initiatives and continuing through production implementation. You will ensure technical data packages are complete and accurate and that the supplier technical performance meets the objectives of quality, cost and schedule. You will drive Raytheon design requirements to improve manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers. You will initiate continuous and measurable design and process improvement of supplier hardware for affordability.

This position is an onsite role and can be located in any of the following locations: Andover MA, Tucson AZ, Forest MS, McKinney TX, Tewksbury MA, Marlborough MA, El Segundo CA or Fullerton CA. Relocation is not available.

What You Will Do:

  • Communicate and translate the technical data package to suppliers

  • Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk

  • Perform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysis

  • Manage supplier requests for product and process changes

  • Manage product non-conformances

  • Drive root cause and corrective action

  • Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities

  • Communicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders

  • Support travel as needed. Minimum 25%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 5 years relevant experience such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, system engineering, manufacturing & quality systems, technical supplier management.

  • Experience in a cross-functional business involving multiple stakeholders (i.e. buyers, engineers, suppliers, program managers, and/or shop floor leaders, etc.)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

  • Masters Degree in the following Majors: Business Administration, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science

  • Existing Secret Clearance

  • Commodities experience related to energetics / warheads, navigation systems, rocket motor, etc.

  • Experience in Statement of Work (SOW) generation

  • Experience with design and development of products that fall within the electrical or mechanical engineering discipline

  • Experience performing supplier assessment

  • Familiarity of Export/Import regulation

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
