Plant Manager

To help us continue to grow, we are currently seeking a Plant Manager to join our team. The Plant Manager will direct and coordinate all daily operations of production and manufacturing, ensures safety compliance for all employees in the workplace. You will manage staffing, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance programs, and reporting/tracking of production-related metrics. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures that all safety training, reporting and procedures are up to date and are in full compliance with Kingspan, OSHA, and other relevant regulatory requirements. Executes the order backlog while meeting the objectives for operational excellence in safety, quality, production and capacity planning, on time delivery, labor productivity and efficiencies, and inventory management. Defines and manages all plant operations defined as: (1) Process driven operations and controls, (2) The establishment and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and other metrics to ensure process performance against defined goals and objectives, (3) Oversee employee accountability through training and skill development to ensure that each employee has received the training and skills necessary to fulfil all process objectives and is held accountable for delivering the required process outcomes, and (4) Takes all necessary and appropriate measures to enforce and ensure compliance with the process definitions and outcomes. Effectively applies value stream mapping, factory performance monitoring systems, 6S procedures, visual workplace, voice of customer inputs, and other lean-manufacturing tools to advance operational performance and controls throughout all work centers and departments. Holds daily meetings with operations leadership and teams to ensure order flow and material requirements are aligned to meet on time delivery dates. Monitors labor cost and overtime to ensure that labor cost objectives are achieved. Monitors material, supplies, expenses and other overhead costs to ensure that overhead cost objectives are achieved. Manages and adjusts personnel staffing as needed. Ensures that all inventory is controlled and accounted for, including cycle counts and physical inventories as prescribed by Kingspan materials control policies. Works with managers effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization. Coordinates and works with supporting departments and external suppliers to prevent interruptions in production and/or delays in scheduled order ship dates. QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS degree in manufacturing technology, industrial technology, or equivalent manufacturing experience. 5+ years of successful track record in manufacturing management of building products, machinery and equipment and/or durable goods. Working knowledge of metals, plastics. metal forming, welding, and assembly Demonstrated knowledge of MRP/ERP, production planning, capacity planning, raw materials purchasing, shop floor control, JIT, LEAN, CAPEX planning, Value Engineering, and strategic planning Strong mechanical, science, analytical/problem solving skills and high math aptitude Excellent leadership and personnel management skills with employees at all levels Highly confident leader with evident self-motivation Excellent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
