Thrive in a fast paced environment? Masis Staffing is hiring Material Handlers on 2nd and 3rd shift for a reputable warehouse in New Albany OH!
Material Handler Summary:
Under general supervision. Organizes and transports production and support material and equipment within the area of assignment. May use manual and powered material handling equipment and packaging equipment. The skills, efforts, responsibilities and working conditions are outlined below and made part of this description. Will be required to collect and report on key production data as defined by the Manufacturing Supervisor. Will be responsible the accuracy of finished good pallets leaving the production floor, for 5S and continuous improvement activities in their respective areas and will provide support for department and site 5S and continuous improvement efforts. NOTE: Employees will be expected to be productive with minimal supervision as well as required to work the line when necessary.
Material Handler Role and Responsibilities
Follows and complies with all safety rules and regulations. Maintains individual work area/equipment in a neat, orderly manner. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment/ tooling, defective materials and unusual conditions to material lead or supervisor.
Responsible for performing verification & sign off on finished good pallets prior to moving and wrapping. Areas requiring verification include pallet quantities, part numbers, lot batches etc. as well as notifying Pack Lead or Supervisor of any discrepancy or inconsistency.
Obtain and maintain proper training for powered industrial trucks.
Locate, pick, move and store material and equipment according to established procedures, both written and verbal. Count items and audit for package/ shipping damage.
Experience using a scanning gun
Experience and understanding of BIN transfers
Experience loading and unloading a 53-foot box truck
Use of mobile scanning device.
Use material handling equipment such as manual pallet jacks and motorized pallet jacks, motorized power lift and some powered packing equipment such as banders and shrink wrappers.
Maintain proper documentation and records using various paper forms and computer systems
Maintain necessary records as required. Moves material as necessary in performance of duties. Cycle count as scheduled.
Perform other duties as directed.

Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Frequent mental and visual attention, where the flow of work takes place in highly congested areas. Pedestrian traffic is constant.
Use judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods /and or practices or to respond to changes in priorities.
Material Handler Shift/Pay:
2nd Shift- Monday-Friday 1:00PM-9:00PM at $20.00 an hour.
3rd Shift- Sunday-Thursday 9:00PM-5:00AM at $21.00 an hour.
