Buyer Jobs in New Mexico
A Buyer in the manufacturing industry is primarily responsible for the procurement of materials, goods, and services necessary for the manufacturing process. Important skills for a Buyer include strong negotiation and communication abilities, analytical thinking, and a good understanding of supply chain management. They should be detail-oriented and have solid organizational skills to manage multiple orders and suppliers. A bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a relevant field is typically required. Certification such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) can be beneficial. Prior job roles before becoming a Buyer may include Procurement Assistant, Purchasing Agent, or Inventory Analyst.
