Division Manager Jobs
A Division Manager in the manufacturing industry is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of a specific division within the organization. They monitor the production process, set production goals, establish policies and procedures, and ensure these are followed. Moreover, they are responsible for budgeting, scheduling, and maintaining a high level of quality in all products. They also play a vital role in strategic planning, coordinating with other division managers, and reporting to higher management.
For a successful career as a Division Manager, an individual must possess excellent leadership and communication skills, decision-making ability, and a thorough knowledge of the manufacturing process. They should also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, or a related field is typically required, and a Master's degree or professional certification like Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) can be beneficial. Prior roles that can lead to this position include Production Supervisor, Operations Manager or Plant Manager.
