A Maintenance Supervisor in the manufacturing industry is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment and systems. They schedule and coordinate maintenance work to prevent equipment malfunctions and production downtime. They also develop maintenance policies and procedures, supervise maintenance technicians, and manage maintenance budgets. Additionally, they ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. They are often involved in troubleshooting complex equipment issues and making decisions about equipment upgrades or replacements.
Important skills for a Maintenance Supervisor include technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, problem-solving skills, leadership skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
